Joinery Administration Assistant

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the efficient operation of the joinery office
  • Active participation in office management, including handling all general clerical tasks
  • Communicating with Customers and Suppliers
  • Raising Supplier Purchase Orders, Customer Invoices and producing accurate project data
  • Management of the Joinery supplier database – liaising with suppliers to keep pricing and delivery times up to date
  • Providing general administrative support to the Joinery Manager
  • Providing reports to the Workshop Foreman and Joinery Manager
  • Offer assistance to the other departments including accounting, procurement and contract management
  • Supporting the Joinery leadership team
  • Respond and resolve administrative queries quickly and efficiently
  • Answering phone calls
  • Maintaining filing system
  • Perform other related duties when required

Anticipated/ Aspirational Qualifications/Experience/Technical knowledge:

  • Proven administration experience in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent knowledge of clerical procedure and systems
  • Proficient use of the MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Supply Management and Inventory Control
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Being able to work flexibly
  • At least 2 years experience of administrative duties in a manufacturing environment (preferably wood manufacture but not essential)
