This task allowed her to explore the creative and communicative side of construction, demonstrating how important public relations and marketing are in shaping the company’s image.
Hands-On Experience in Joinery and Design
A highlight of her experience was her time in the joinery department, where she delved into CAD design with Eden. This hands-on session introduced her to the technological tools used in modern construction, sparking a new interest in design and engineering.
Getting Practical in the Mechanics Workshop
Not one to shy away from getting her hands dirty, Amy joined Scott and Filip in the mechanics workshop. She assisted in conducting 10-weekly check, including oil levels, tire pressure, and lights. This practical experience was invaluable, giving her a real taste of the maintenance work that keeps the machinery in top condition.
An Inspiring Site Tour
Amy’s work experience culminated with an exciting site tour at the Carlisle Southern Link Road project, guided by Neil and Sam.
