We handed back the Komatsu Forest UK new headquarters having completed the construction of the £3.4 million project.
To mark the occasion Komatsu held a grand opening of the new facility at Carlisle Airport, Industrial Estate on Friday 8 September 2023. The official ribbon cutting by honoured guests from the Japanese Consulate and Mayor of Carlisle, Cumberland Councillor, Abdul Harid. Press attendees included ITV Border News, Forest Machine Magazine, Forest Journal and the local press.
The day was finishing off with a fantastic Gala Dinner at The Garden of Eden, presented by David McNeill with entertainment from StagedRight theatre group and the Highway. Heartfelt speeches from Stephen Bellas, Managing Director at Komatsu Forest UK, Tom Sarin, Chief Financial Officer, from Komatsu Forest AB, and Abdul Harid, Mayor of Carlisle. With the celebrations going on late into the night.
