We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for not one but two awards at the North West Regional Construction Awards 2024!
Project of the Year – Building, Infrastructure and Residential Award
Our project, the Komatsu Forestry European Head Office & Workshop, has been nominated for the prestigious Project of the Year – Building, Infrastructure and Residential Award. Komatsu Forest, a global leader in manufacturing construction, mining, and forestry equipment, as well as forklifts and industrial machinery, relocated from leased premises to their own land on an established industrial estate near Carlisle Airport.
Cubby Construction was appointed as the Principal Contractor to construct Komatsu Forest’s first sales building that they have built and owned globally. This project represents a significant milestone for Komatsu Forest and reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality construction projects that meet the specific needs of our clients.

Regeneration and Retrofit Award
Our second nomination is for the Holmwood House Regeneration Project, competing for the Regeneration and Retrofit Award. This project involved transforming a historic Victorian villa in Langholm, previously a hotel and nursing home, into a contemporary family home.
The project aimed to cater to disabled needs, incorporating a hydrotherapy pool and hoist system. We meticulously restored the original features of the villa while adding modern amenities, creating a seamless blend of heritage and functionality. The result is a space that not only meets but exceeds expectations, showcasing our dedication to innovative and thoughtful construction practices.

A huge congratulations to the teams who worked tirelessly on these projects and helped us reach the finals. Your hard work, dedication, and expertise have brought us to this point, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together.
