We were recently commissioned for a major renovation at Eden Valley Hospice’s adult in-patient unit.
The renovation saw the conversion of a large four-bed room into two high-specification ensuite bathrooms. Providing two light, calming, and airy rooms.
A new ceiling hoist system allows the Hospice staff to care for people with complex needs in a comfortable and homely environment – which provides enhanced privacy and dignity for the patients. Also boast interactive televisions with internet access and direct access to the hospice’s beautiful courtyard garden.
The four-bed communal room has been difficult to use during the COVID-19 pandemic, nor did it afford the privacy many families seek and need at end of life.
The changes we’ve had made will make a real difference to the people we look after and help us continue to offer high-quality care, love and support to those with life-limiting illnesses from north Cumbria.
