Cubby has been working in the civil engineering sector since its inception in 1968. Civils activities benefit from the Company’s highly trained workforce, its extensive fabrication steel and timber capability, and a comprehensive fleet of plant and specialist machinery.

Projects encompass the complete spectrum of civil engineering woks, with the Company building up an impressive civils portfolio covering complex concrete work, demolition, structural works, drainage and waste water network installation, and major earthworks, as well as environmental engineering.

Structural Civils

Structural work includes bridge building; reinforced concrete works, often using complex formwork; hard landscaping; roads and pathways. Cubby Construction is also active in delivering waterway, cutting and embankment stabilisation; including the use of reinforced earth walls, rock armour and gabion cages.

Structural activities also benefit particularly from Cubby’s fabrication capability, which is used for manufacturing specialist items of plant, as well as hand rails, gantries and other structural steelwork.

Drainage & Waste Water

Cubby’s subsurface work covers municipal, industrial, commercial and domestic waste water and clean water networks and sewage treatment plant installation.

Cubby installs, repairs and maintains a variety of subsurface networks, including the construction of manholes, catchpits and interceptors.

Drainage works are designed and carried out for agricultural, residential, municipal and commercial sites, and frequently benefit from the Company’s in-house ‘minimum dig’ techniques.

Steel-framed Buildings

Cubby Construction’s steelwork expertise is also applied in the construction of steel- framed industrial and agricultural buildings.

The Company has built numerous units, ranging from barns and outbuildings to large industrial units, many of which can be seen surrounding Cubby’s offices and joinery manufacturing facilities on the Kingmoor Park estate.

Cubby Construction is also an ideal partner for renovation, re-skinning and re-purposing of industrial warehousing and other industrial and agricultural units.

Earthworks

The Company has an excellent reputation for earthworks projects. Drawing on an impressive fleet of plant, Cubby delivers land reinstatement and stabilisation of brownfield sites; pond, lagoon and wetland excavation; bulk excavation and soft landscaping.

Cubby Construction has also developed extensive experience in paving works, hard landscaping and road building.

Cubby’s earthworks skills are also used extensively in Cubby’s agricultural projects, often making use of the Company’s extensive stone picking, screening and washing and soil improvement capabilities.
