Operating alongside it’s extensive civil engineering and construction services, Cubby maintains a well respected, fully equipped joinery factory. The high quality timber products it manufactures can be installed either by its own team of craftsmen or by third party customers and other contractors.
The Company’s 20,000 sq ft Kingmoor Park joinery factory designs and manufactures a complete range of bespoke joinery products; from a single baluster through specially designed hardwood doors and windows to prestigious works undertaken for residential, educational, public, religious, leisure and hospitality, industrial, retail and commercial applications.
Superb craftsmanship is reflected in extensive period reproduction work carried out for English Heritage, Carlisle Cathedral and a number of Cumbria’s other important Public Buildings.
The Carlisle factory has the equipment, plant and expertise to deliver a wide variety of specialised items used in restorations and reinstatement of period features. Working in a variety of soft woods and hard woods accessed from accredited sustainable sources, and are fully FSC approved wherever possible.
Reproduction of components range from specially made moulding profiles, door casings and compound skirting boards; through unusual door designs, windows and panelling; to complete pre-fabricated timber bell towers and staircases.
